The Cold Creek
Fruit from our Old Farm is the core of this wine. Shovel planted in 1984 with the Mosel clone Weiss 21b, the planting runs adjacent to the south slope along a tributary to Richardson's Creek. This fruit is supplemented from another site at the southernmost point of our Frenchman's Vineyard which is perched above the cold head-waters of the Twelve Mile Creek, an ancient river valley. This is a New World mash-up of a Mosel clone grown in a Burgundian climate on heavy clay, not slate. Together these elements make for a unique wine, the luscious, lemony-fresh Cold Creek Riesling.
Sustainably grown under SWO.
